Limited Warranty Policies - revised 09/30/2012

 

REFUND AND RETURN POLICIES

 

New technology products purchased by Slave2Machine for the benefit of clients carry warranties from their respective manufacturers or sellers and those warranties transfer to the purchaser of products from Slave2Machine, LLC.

 

Upon purchase of a technology product from Slave2Machine, LLC, the Buyer agrees to deal directly with the seller and holds Slave2Machine, LLC harmless from any liability whatsoever. Slave2Machine, LLC will provide the Buyer with any and all information and receipts necessary to facilitate warranty coverage upon request.

 

Refunds and Exchanges

 

Refunds are not offered on any technology product that has been refurbished by Slave2Machine, LLC. All sales are final and Warranty coverage, if any, is disclosed and specified either at time of purchase or time of acceptance of the technology product. Refurbished technology products have been tested with stringent guidelines as established by Slave2Machine, LLC but there are no other guarantees or warranties, either express or implied unless specifically stated in writing and agreed to in writing by a representative of Slave2Machine, LLC. Buyer agrees to this policy upon purchase.

 

RMA POLICY >> When returning product to Slave2Machine for any reason, you must first to contact Slave2Machine and obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from the RMA department. Any products shipped back to Slave2Machine without an RMA and not following this policy will be returned to sender. We do NOT accept deliveries of defective hardware unless this RMA policy has been followed. Any hardware that cannot be returned to sender will be held in accordance with local laws and then disposed of accordingly.The following information is required in order to complete the RMA request:

 

  • Contact name

  • Company name

  • Address

  • Phone number

  • Slave2Machine part number

  • Computer / Device manufacturer

  • Computer / Device model number

  • A brief description of the problem that is occurring with the product(s) to be returned.

 

All requests are processed within 72 business hours.

 

Standard Replacement

 

For customers that agree to return defective product to Slave2Machine first, a Standard Replacement option is available. An RMA number must first be issued by an RMA representative. This RMA number will need to be referenced on the outside of the return shipment. Upon receipt of the defective product, Slave2Machine will, at its discretion, either repair or replace the product and ship it out in the most expeditious manner possible. Subject to availability, the replacement product will be shipped on the business day following receipt of the defective product.

 

In the event the product returned to Slave2Machine has been Discontinued (i.e the product is no longer being manufactured by Slave2Machine but is still under warranty), Slave2Machine will, at its discretion, either repair or replace with recertified product.

 

Cross Shipment

 

In the event that replacement product is needed immediately, a Cross Shipment option is available. Requesting this option implies that the customer has the defective part and will ship them back to Slave2Machine within 10 calendar days of receipt of the replacement product. The customer will be asked to secure the return by providing a credit card. There will be a 10-day hold or charge placed on the card equal to the list price of the item being shipped.

 

In the event the product is unable to be returned on or before the due date, the credit card will be charged for the non-returned product. Once the defective product is returned, a credit or refund will be issued within 3 business days of product being returned. Subject to availability, Slave2Machine will ship product on the same day the RMA is generated.

 

Once you have obtained an RMA number

 

After obtaining an RMA number from Slave2Machine, you must send the product - freight prepaid - to Slave2Machine Technology Company, Inc. The Slave2Machine RMA number must be prominently displayed on the outside of your package. If you send your product to Slave2Machine without the RMA number prominently displayed on the outside of the package, it will be returned to you unopened. Please use a shipping company that can demonstrate proof of delivery.

 

Slave2Machine does not accept responsibility for any lost shipments unless proof of delivery to Slave2Machine is provided. Please note: Product shipped to Slave2Machine must be properly packaged to prevent loss or damage in transit. Shipping your RMA to Slave2Machine using regular mailing envelopes is not acceptable, as they do not protect the product from damage during shipping. Slave2Machine will not repair or replace a module that is shipped in such a way that the product is not properly protected. Slave2Machine will not accept any product that has been damaged as a result of accident, abuse, misuse, natural or personal disaster, or any unauthorized disassemble, repair or modification. Any product shipped to Slave2Machine without an RMA number will be returned to sender unopened. Warranty policy on used computers.

 

Used, non-new or pre-owned computers are sold on an as-is basis. No warranty either express or implied is offered or should be expected on these systems. Software support is offered at a discounted rate for a period of thirty days following the date of sale and should any service be required, a discounted rate at the option of Slave to the Machine may be offered to the buyer. Used computers are sold at less than retail for a reason -- they are used and any buyer is warned to be aware that problems can show up five minutes after purchase. Anyone buying a machine from Slave to the Machine agrees to be bound by this policy.Limited Warranty for on-site labor and repairsPaid on-site labor is warranted for 30-days after completion of work.

Limited Warranty for on-site labor and repairs.

 

Services are billed for from the moment our representative arrives on site until our representative departs and there could be additional funds due for travel and expenses related to the travel. Sometimes clients need emergency services on a rush basis or after hours, and those rates change depending on the situation. Regardless of outcome, services are billed and invoices are due immediately upon receipt. Any failure of client to pay upon invoice results in breach of this agreement. Computer repair is an art not a science and sometimes the situation is such that due to hardware or software configurations issues cannot be solved in a single visit, or at all depending on the configuration. Client understands such and agrees to pay any and all invoices when issued according to the terms set forth on the invoice itself.Paid on-site labor is warranted for 30-days after completion of work. Warranty for in-shop labor and repairs

 

Paid in-shop repairs and parts installations are warranted for 30-days after completion of work. Failure of parts purchased from us and installed by us within 30-days from the date of the original service invoice will be replaced and installed by us free of charge. After 30-days the manufacturers warranty applies. You are required to present the item, part or computer system to us at our regular place of business for any warranty service or replacement. You must request warranty service before the expiration of this warranty. Failed parts must be returned to us not-later-than 30-days from the date of the original invoice to qualify for in-house replacement. Parts warranties after the first 30-days must be handled with the manufacturer directly.Service calls for warranty service are scheduled during the ordinary course of business. All parties understand that we are unable under the standard terms of this agreement to offer immediate, rush warranty repairs at no additional charge. Should you require rush or expedited warranty service, in certain instances we can accomplish this given available time and resources but there is an additional charge for this rush or expedited service. Generally, repairs are accomplished within three days of us becoming aware of the issue. Please discuss with your representative at the time you place your request for service when the first available time would be under normal circumstances. Expedited warranty services can be determined at that point if requested and decisions can be made.What is covered by this limited warranty?This limited warranty covers defects in workmanship in your Slave to the Machine, LLC-provided service only for a period of 30-days.

 

What is not covered by this limited warranty?

 

This limited warranty expressly DOES NOT cover:

 

Any Software or Hardware installation , including the operating system and software added to or changed since we provided the original service or labor.

 

Problems that result from:

 

  • External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power or telephone systems.

  • Servicing not authorized or provided by us.

  • Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions.

  • Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.

  • Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by us.

  • Labor or services for which we have not received payment (except those accounts on time payment plans that are current).

  • Parts received after 30-days from your original labor invoice

 

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). SLAVE TO THE MACHINE, LLC'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD REFLECTED ON YOUR PACKING SLIP OR INVOICE. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE.SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

 

How long does this limited warranty last?

 

This labor limited warranty lasts for 30-days from the date of original repair. The warranty period is not extended if we re-accomplish the repair. Slave to the Machine, LLC may change the availability of limited warranties, at its sole and exclusive discretion. What do I do if I need warranty service?Before the warranty expires, please email us to advise us of an issue. You will be required to give the name of the purchaser and date of purchase at this time. Please have your invoice copy handy.

 

What will Slave to the Machine, LLC do?

 

During the first 30-days of all limited warranties: During the first 30-days of this limited warranty, we will re-accomplish any Slave to the Machine, LLC-provided labor actions that prove to be defective in workmanship including labor.If we determine that the problem is not covered under this warranty, we will notify you and inform you of service alternatives that are available to you on a fee basis.

 

Note: Before you deliver the product to us, make sure to back up the data on the hard drive and any other storage device in the product.

Remove any confidential, proprietary or personal information, REMOVE THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD FROM THE SYSTEM, removable media, such as floppy disks, CDs, or PC Cards.

 

We are not responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary or personal information; lost or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media.What if I purchased a service contract?If you are on an active service contract with Slave to the Machine, LLC, service will be provided to you under the terms of the service agreement. Please email us to arrange for a service technician to assist you.

 

Is my limited warranty transferable?

 

Slave to the Machine, LLC Limited warranties on labor are not transferable. You may be required to produce the original invoice when requesting service under this warranty.
